Compared with the compact M32R, the full-size surface provides faster access to more channels at the same time. This is particularly useful during concerts and complex live productions where engineers need to react quickly.

The console also provides 36 assignable controls arranged across three custom layers.

This creates a practical digital snake system because the stage box can remain beside the performers while the mixing console is positioned at front of house.

USB Recording and Playback

The standard M32 is commonly supplied with a DN32-USB expansion card.

This provides up to 32 input and 32 output channels of USB audio between the console and a compatible computer. It can be used for:
